Dave and I spent the weekend in the twin cities for Frostbike at QBP..
Upon reaching Minneapolis we visited our friends (and got to meet the rest of the crew) at Twin Six. We got a sneak peek of some awesome new products and the team kits Dave will be rocking again. Afterward we met up with our host Kate, my good friend from high school and ate a fantastic meal at Chino Latino, which never disappoints!
Saturday started off slow and we spent a good deal of time at the show. I ran into a lot of familiar faces in the industry, race world and was impressed by some new products from pending and potential team sponsors! I also got to meet regional Mafia team member Tanner, and he hooked me up with some special cables/housing that match the plaid kits!
We sadly missed the Cutters Ball on Saturday night in favor for an early birthday celebration to see the “classic” Trey Anastasio Band downtown. I have seen Phish but never TAB and had a great time at the show!
Later Saturday night, we met some old friends uptown at Nye’s Bar. Dave was in a singing mood and took the mic for a live karaoke session, complete with a “local fixture” behind the accompanying organ. Dave’s setlist read: “Rhinestone Cowboy,” “You Were Always on My Mind,” and closed with his all-time favorite karaoke tune “Folsom Prison Blues.”
That’s pretty much all that needs to be said…
